Technical Management

Our technical management teams support vessel reliability throughout the operating lifecycle.

Overview

Reliable Vessels.
Predictable Costs.

Technical superintendents work closely with vessel management teams to monitor machinery condition, planned maintenance, defects, class requirements and upcoming surveys while ensuring that significant technical risks receive timely shore support.

The objective is simple: reliable vessels, predictable costs and no surprises. Reporting lines are short, decisions are documented and every technical intervention is planned with the vessel’s trading programme in mind.

How We Work.
Method, Not Reaction.

Planned maintenance, managed proactively

Each vessel operates under a planned maintenance system aligned with maker recommendations, class requirements and the vessel’s actual operating profile. Superintendents review maintenance status, spare-part stock and defect trends in regular cycles, so emerging issues are addressed before they affect trading.

Dry-dock & projects, prepared in advance

Dry-dockings, major repairs and retrofit projects are specified, tendered and supervised by MSM’s technical team. Specifications are prepared months ahead, yards are compared on quality as well as price, and attending superintendents follow the work through to sea trials.
